On The Record by Kimberly Page

"Love isn't what you expect it to be, Jess. It's not the fairy tales or the romance novels. It's finding the person who makes the hard things easier and the good things better. The person who sees all your jagged edges and sharp corners and isn't intimidated by them."

I absolutely loved this book. It's a standalone third book in the series. Due this, I have not read the other two in the series but I absolutely plan on reading them after reading On The Record . The rivals to lovers tropes as well as fake marriage tropes are some of my favorites and this book does them so well

The Dual POV was incredible and it felt like getting tiny peeks into the character's mindset around the situation. It was really interesting to see with the pair's meeting and how the rivalry started. They had chemistry immediately and it only improved as the book went on. I appreciated how it felt like they could communicate even when they were rivals. My favorite part was probably Lucas stepping in during the Marcus situation in the beginning.

the spice was delicious yet tasteful, it didn't feel forced at all. If a cute book about rivals turning into lovers is your cup of tea, this is for you.
